You never know... That's one of their favorite excuses for patting down a 93 year old woman, bound to her wheelchair. Comedians and social commentators have grown fond of pointing out the insanity of the security searches, etc. And they ARE ridiculous. Louis Black speaks of a woman traveling with 2yr old twins who is told to fold her stroller up and run it through the x-ray machine. He expounds upon the impossible nature of that woman being a terrorist. She has 2yr old twins - for starters, where would she find the time?
TERRORISM IS NOT THE REASON AIRPORT SECURITY IS RIDICULOUS. TERRORISM IS THE EXCUSE!
They are not looking for bombs in the old lady's wheelchair or in the woman's stroller. They are looking for kilos! But you can't just do "random" drug searches on every traveler without severe backlash. But you CAN do so in the name of fighting terrorism, and upholding FREEDUMB!!!
It's all just an excuse to fight unethically and immorally in the War on drug. The US Govt are just another cartel. They don't want to eliminate the illegal drug trade. They just want to monopolize it. Control it. And take all that money for themselves!!!
